The Raw Material Inventory Control system provides the mechanism for defining and maintaining the Raw Material Inventory. This system can actually be used to control all expendable supplies including Fabric, Trim, Accessories, Shipping Supplies and Packaging Supplies.

Raw Material Inventory is fed by the Purchase Order Processing System and depleted through Cut Order or Manufacturing Order Processing.  The mechanism that ties these two systems together is the Trim Sheet, which is an Apparel Industry Bill of Materials called a Trim Sheet.

Taking a closer look at the screen below you will notice that all of the basic information is provided on the General Data tab. Vendor information, purchase and actual amounts, notes, and more are also provided here. The applicable costs for the raw material item along with its quantities are also on this screen. And last, but certainly not least the fiber/fibre contents and care instructions are provided.
